I know most of you follow my sister's blog, too, so these pictures will be redundant for you. But I just had to post them, because your blog is supposed to be about what's on your mind and today my mind is on my niece, Kelly. It has been so neat for me to watch the miracle of adoption unfold from the "outside". When Hannah came home, people were always remarking to me how drastically her face had changed in such a short period of time. I saw her every day, so I couldn't see what they meant. But now, seeing pictures of Kelly the past few months, I understand. As she has relaxed, and began to let down her defenses and truly bond, this baby girl has positively bloomed!
Of course, I have a theory that Kelly's changes are more pronounced because she's been showered in the perfect and amazing love of my sister - who wouldn't be glowing?
Seriously though, I think that the changes in Kelly are such a testament to what can happen when someone is brave enough to take that huge leap of faith, reach out and love a child.

I often forget to stop and pause and take it in, just how much this amazing little girl we are honored, blessed, and privileged to call our daughter, has blossomed, but Jen, you are so good at reminding me of the wonder of it all. Thank you for that, and thank you for your adoring eyes that always see all the best in all of us.
